JAKARTA - Kontes modifikasi Honda Jazz Tuning Contest 8 yang digelar PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) dimenangkan oleh Luthfi Gatot Rochim. Mobil dengan tema modifikasi "Future Honda" ini berhasil menyandang gelar King of Honda Jazz Tuning Contest 8 2012.
Keberhasilan pria asal Bandung dalam menggondol gelar ini berkat gaya modifikasi ektrim yang diterapkan. Selain mengubah Jazz lansiran 2010 itu menjadi dua pintu, Luthfi menyematkan fitur-fitur yang tidak biasa. Contohnya seperti membuka pintu, menyalakan lampu interior hingga menyalakan mesin dengan menggunakan gadget.
Dalam ajang ini, Luthfi harus berjibaku melawan 23 finalis lain denagn gaya modifikasi yang tidak kalah hebatnya. Para finalis tersebut berasal dari kota-kota seperti Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Makasar, Yogyakarta dan Pekalongan.
"Selamat kepada pemenang dan seluruh peserta yang telah menampilkan kreativitas serta hasil modifikasi yang luar biasa, sehingga dari tahun ke tahun Jazz Tuning Contest selalu meningkat dari kualitas maupun kuantitas pesertanya," terang Jonfis Fandy, Marketing and After Sales Service Director PT HPM di Jakarta.
Kategori-kategori yang diperlombakan antara lain meliputi Best Interior, Best Body Kit, Best Audio Design, Best Engine, Best Paint, Best Sticker, dan masih banyak lagi.
Pada Jazz Tuning Contest 8 ini juga terdapat kategori spesial yaitu The Best Rookie untuk para modifikator baru dan "ODI-C of The Year" yang merupakan singkatan dari "Out-of-the-Box, Daring, Innovative-Creative".
